Thoughtfully portioned in a pack of 15, our French Blinis are frozen to preserve their delicate freshness and flavour. Simply warm or lightly toast before serving to reveal their soft, pillowy texture. At 3.5cm in diameter, each is perfectly sized for a refined, one-bite indulgence — an ideal canvas for caviar and crème fraîche.
The most traditional way to serve our blinis is as an elegant appetizer featuring caviar or salmon roe.
Step 1: Prep
- Preheat your oven to 180°C
- Place the frozen blinis in a single layer on a lightly oiled or parchment-lined baking sheet
- Heat for 7 – 10 minutes until they are just warmed through
- Or microwave briefly on high heat for 40 – 90 seconds until they are soft and warm, but not crisp
Step 2: Assemble
- Start with a small dollop of crème fraîche or sour cream as the base
- Add a slice of smoked salmon or a spoonful of caviar
- Finish with finely chopped chives, fresh dill or finely diced hard-boiled eggs (whites and yolks separated)
Step 3: Serve
- Once assembled, serve within 15 minutes to prevent the blinis from getting soggy
