Known for its nutrient-rich land, pork that originates from Hokkaido is always prized and of high quality. Through careful crossbreeding, the ‘Yume no Daichi’ pig is a mix between the Duroc, Large Yorkshire, Landrace and Berkshire varieties, resulting in our Japanese ‘Yume No Daichi’ Pork Belly that has a silky smooth texture and a clean taste. Thinly sliced at 1.5mm thickness, our pork belly is the perfect choice for Yakiniku hot grill or barbecue. The fat has a low melting temperature giving you a melt-in-your-mouth umami experience.
‘Yume no Daichi’ piglets are raised in a stress-free environment on sustainable vegetable farms where there is careful management of the ecosystem. The manure from the livestock is carefully and slowly composted to be used as fertilizers for agriculture, allowing farmers to use less artificial ones which may be harmful to the environment. The result is a sustainable integrated system between livestock and agricultural farming.
